چکیده

We report on the molecular gas properties in the central kiloparsec of the almost face-on double barred galaxy NGC 4303 (M 61), using the CO 1−0 line emission observed with the Owens Valley Radio Observatory (OVRO) millimeter interferometer. The bulk of the molecular line emission comes from two straight gas lanes which run north-south along the leading sides of the large-scale primary bar. Velocity deviations of up to 90 km s from the mean rotational velocity are associated with these gas lanes. Inside a radius of ∼ 5 (∼ 400 pc) the molecular

Received ; accepted – 2 – ABSTRACT We performed SPH simulations to study the nuclear morphology of a barred galaxy NGC 4314. We have constructed the mass models based on the results of a profile decomposition into disk, bulge, and bar components. Our models have three different nuclear structures according to the assumption about the nuclear bar: no nuclear bar, a synchronous nuclear bar and a ...

Recent developments in the chemical modelling of cometary comae are described. We discuss the cyanide chemistry and present new HCN observations of the recent comet C/2002 C1 (Ikeya-Zhang). The connection between interstellar and cometary organic molecules is discussed from the perspective of recent theories of interstellar gas-grain chemistry.

The pulsar magnetosphere contains a strongly magnetized, relativistic plasma. We need to understand the physics of that plasma if we want to connect the data to the models. Our group in Socorro is mixing theory and observations in order to study the radio-loud pulsar plasma. In this paper we report on several aspects of our current work.
